FAQs

FREQUENTLY-ASKED QUESTIONS

What ages do you see?

I see adults and elders 18 years of age and older.

Do you offer couples or family therapy?

Sorry, I do not offer couples or family therapy; however, I am happy to try to identify another practitioner to whom I can refer you for this service.

How do I make an appointment?

You may call me at 617-833-1069, email sarahfeigon@gmail.com or fill out a contact form on this website.  Please do not include private health information in email or in the contact form as this is not a secure form of communication.

What are your office policies?

Please feel free to download a new patient welcome packet.  In it, you will find my Psychotherapist-Patient Services Agreement and a Notice that provides information about my privacy policies.

What is your cancellation policy?

I kindly request 24 hours notice for cancelling a scheduled appointment. I charge a fee of $90 for late cancellations or no shows. Please note that insurance does not reimburse for missed sessions, so this charge would be your responsibility.

What are your fees?  Do you accept insurance?

I am in network for Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, Optum, UnitedHealthcare, Harvard Pilgrim, Cigna and Medicare.

If your plan is not listed here, you may wish to inquire with your insurance carrier whether you have an out of network benefit that would partially reimburse you for my services.  In that case, you would be responsible for my full fees and I would provide you with all the documentation you need to submit for reimbursement from your insurance carrier.   It would be up to you to know (or find out from your insurance carrier) what your plan covers for out of network services.

Some patients choose not to involve insurance and pay out of pocket.  My full fees are $240 for a diagnostic evaluation and $180 for a standard 45-minute therapy session.  Fees for other services are listed in my Psychotherapist-Patient Services Agreement (in the new patient welcome packet).

What are the parking and public transportation options?

On-street parking spots are often available on Norwood Ave. (between Crystal Lake and the gas station) and on Centre St.  My office is a 10 minute walk from the Newton Centre T stop on the Green Line D train.

Where should I enter your building?

You should enter the building on Trowbridge Street.  There are two blue awnings on the Trowbridge Street side of the building.  The entrance you want is under the awning with the steeper slope.  Once inside, you will see signs directing you to my suite.
